Tuscan Meat Loaf recipe (Meat)

1 lb ground round steak
½ cups fresh bread crumbs
½ cups milk
1   egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cups finely chopped parsley
¼ teaspoons fennel seeds
½ teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
½ teaspoons paprika
½ teaspoons oregano
½ teaspoons basil
½ cups chopped onion
1   clove garlic, minced
3 tablespoons butter

Preheat the oven to 350. With the hands work the meat with the bread crumbs, milk, egg, salt, parsley, fennel seeds, black pepper, paprika, oregano and basil.

Cook the onion and garlic in the butter until golden brown. Blend with the meat mixture. Shape into a loaf and bake one hour. Serve with basil and tomato sauce.
