Panino Allo Margherita recipe (Lunch)

2   thick slices rustic white bread
2   thick slices fresh mozzarella
2   thick slices tomato
6   fresh basil leaves
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
½ teaspoons salt

Place mozzarella on top of 1 bread slice then sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Add tomato slices and then the basil leaves.

Top with the second bread slice.

Brush both sides of the sandwich with the oil.

Heat a grill pan over medium low heat.

Grill sandwich until bread is golden brown and the cheese melts pressing down with a metal spatula or grill press about 4 minutes per side.
