Thanksgiving Earthquake Cookies recipe (Cookie)

Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
¾ cups butter
1   egg
¼ cups molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
some   salt
2 teaspoons baking soda

Instructions

Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg, molasses and vanilla and mix until combined.
In a smaller bowl, sift together cinnamon, ground ginger, salt and baking soda. Mix the sifted dry ingredients into the combined wet ingredients, stirring until completely incorporated. Roll the dough into balls about the size of large walnuts, then roll in granulated sugar. Place on baking sheet and flatten slightly with the bottom of a drinking glass. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350°F. Cool a few minutes on the baking sheet then transfer to a wire rack.
