Split Pear Soup recipe (Soup)


1 lb dry green split peas
1 lb Polish sausage
1   qt. water
1   medium white onion, chopped
2   carrots, chopped into 1/8 inch thick pieces

Soak split peas in water overnight. Place in crock pot with fresh water (you may need to add more later if soup becomes too thick). Cut Polish sausage into pieces approximately ¼ inch thick. Add onions and carrots and cook on high for 3 to 5 hours. Salt and pepper to taste.
