Baked Tuna Macaroni recipe (Pasta)


1 can albacore tuna
2 cups whole wheat elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons canola oil
1   diced onion
1   jar Pasta sauce
cups chopped spinach
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
some   salt and pepper
some   bread crumbs

Cook the pasta according to instructions. Preheat oven to 350°F and start working on the sauce. In a sauté pan, add canola oil and sauté onions. Add tuna. Add pasta sauce and simmer for a minute and then add the spinach. Continue to stir for another minute. Remove from heat then add ½ cup of the Parmesan cheese and salt, pepper. Mix well. Add the cooked whole wheat pasta to the sauce. Transfer the macaroni and sauce mixture into a square baking dish. Top with the rest of the parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
